Digestive System

Most sharks have triangular teeth which are continously shed and replaced. They consume most of their food whole or tear it apart with their teeth into pieces that can be swallowed whole.

Their stomachs hvae strong acids to break down the whole food. It breaks down most of what is eaten, what ever is indigestible (large bones) is vomited. The food goes through the pyloric valve (between the stomach and intestines). The absorbtion of nutrients occur at the intestines.

The intestine is sometimes arranged in folds, and some are in a spiral pattern.
