Just like cartilagenous fish, bony fish have a similar endocrine system which regulates metabolic activities like the storage of fat and the use of nutrients from food. Blood pressure and even some parts of skin colour is controlled by the endocrine system.
The organs associated in this system are the pituitary, thyroid adrenals, suprarenal glands, pancreatic islets and the sex galnds (ovaries and testes).
