Digestive System

The digestive system of a reptile is similar to more evolved vertebrates. They have a mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestines and a cloaca where the food goes out. Though their digestive system is similar, being cold-blooded makes a difference in digestion.

A snake’s digestive system is structured differently because of it’s slender body.

It’s digestive system is stretched out while the esophogus is light muscled so it takes the whole body to move food.
